There is a version of YMH,YMS online that is a rare version, where it only contains the backing vocals of SIB + Birger, on top of a very different instrumental version. The drums are completely different, and are never heard in other versions.

The whole arrangement seems to be mixed differently than the original version.
Does anyone know about this version and why it contains a completely different drum section?
Is it another version that was not released?

It could be from this release, there are 3 MT playback versions:

Or this one:

Dear Emmi, since this is the English part of the forum, please write in English. Yes, for me this is clearly Dieter, you can clearly recognize his Northern German accent that no other has. The only thing that can be irritating is that his voice was still really young back then and we are not used to his young voice.

@Nick, why do you think this is a completely different version? For me it sounds the same, it's only a bit slower. All other instruments are completely the same. I really don't know what you mean.

Sorry, I somehow missed that it's the English part.
But then it's obvious that Dieter also sang with MT?

I think the instruments/drums sound a little different because the vocal track was later removed from the final mix.

Hi Nick, what an honor. :)
I totally forgot about this version. I think there were different singles of YMHYMS.
I´d have to do more research on this.
BTW Detlef had not yet joined the choir.

While the falsetto choir seems to be identical as in the common versions, the background of the first part of the chorus is definitely different. I wonder why and which came first.

I´m unable to hear Dieter in the first chorus, but the 2nd time around, the "heart" sounds a bit like Dieter. Though I´m not sure what Birgis sounds like (except when he does the very low "commentary voice" in some other songs).

It´s still fun to speculate about a 40-year-old song. :D
