Original Baccara bestand bis zur Trennung 1982 aus Mayte Mateos und Maria Mendiola.
Seit Mitte der 80er gab es dann immer zwei Formationen mit je 1 der Damen.
Maria Mendiola verstarb 2021. Ihre langjährige Partnerin und Leadstimme Christina Sevilla, insgesamt seit 1999 bei Baccara (erst Partnerin von Mayte Mateos, dann von Maria Mendiola), führt mit Mendiolas Einverständnis deren Formation mit neuer Partnerin Helen De Quiroga fort.
Und diese Formation wird glücklicherweise weiterhin von Luis Rodriguez produziert. Erste Single "Don't Let This Feeling Go Away", neue Single und weitere Songs in Arbeit.

CC Catch Releases New Single "Heal Me",
a dedication to her late Father
Iconic 80's pop star, CC Catch, known for her timeless hits and distinctive voice, has announced the release of her new music single, "Heal Me".
This poignant track is deeply personal to CC, as a tribute to her beloved father, Peter Muller, who passed suddenly, in April 2024.
"Heal Me" presents a more intimate insight into her personal journey through loss and grief, to a place of healing.
C.C. Catch, born Caroline Catherina Muller, captured the hearts of millions in the 1980s with chart-topping hits such as, "Cause You Are Young", "Heaven and Hell" and "Soul Survivor". Following some time out of the music industry for reflection and personal growth, CC returns to the music scene with "Heal Me"; a tender song with and upbeat feel, that promises to resonate with her fans, old and new.
"Heal Me" is produced by Luis Rodriguez, who has worked previously with CC Catch on her top hits, together with Bohlen. In this new single, fans will connect to the unique sounds from the 80s and an eclectic blend of up-beat, dance music. The lyrics convey a raw and honest expression of CC's emotional journey following her father's death and offers listeners a glimpse into her personal struggle and her pathway towards healing.
"This song is incredibly special to me", says C.C. Catch. "My Papa was one my greatest supporters throughout my life and my career. He was also a tremendous source of inspiration to me, my rock; often offering his guidance and, always, his support and love. Losing my beloved Papa so suddenly is one of the hardest things I've ever experienced. "Heal Me" is my way of honouring his life. He'd heard the song some time ago and was very moved by it and was excited for me to release this as a single. Granting his wish brings so much joy and healing to my heart, and my hope is that it will do the same for my fans. I can still feel my Papa's energy with me, watching over me from heaven, and I'm very thankful for his Love and for everything he's done for me in my life.
The power of Music helps us all to heal, and my Papa told me this song is much needed in times like this. This was his last wish, to make my fans happy with new, fresh music, and also it is the perfect way to honour the life of my wonderful Papa, who himself found such joy in music."
Accompanied by a music video, edited by her brother Marco that features imagery and personal mementos, "Heal Me" pays homage to the bonds of love as we navigate through times of loss and opens the way for joy to exist.
